Compared with ordinary thermal label paper, there are the following significant differences:
1. Performance:
Waterproof: Long-acting heat-resistant label paper has excellent waterproof ability, even in wet environment or contact with water, the writing and pattern can remain clear, will not blur or faint. However, ordinary heat-sensitive label paper is easily damaged after exposure to water, resulting in unrecognizable printed content.
Anti-oil: The long-acting heat-resistant label paper can resist the erosion of grease, and the printing content is not affected when it comes into contact with oily substances. Ordinary thermal label paper may appear blurred or disappear in the face of grease.
Anti-friction: The former has stronger wear and scratch resistance, can withstand friction and collision in daily use, and maintain the integrity and readability of the label. Ordinary thermal label paper is relatively easy to be damaged by friction.
2. Storage time:
Long-acting thermal label paper usually has a longer shelf life, can be stored for several years or more, and the printed content is still legible. The storage time of ordinary thermal label paper is short, and the writing may gradually fade or become blurred over time.
3. Application Scenario:
Due to its excellent performance, the long-lasting heat-resistant label paper is suitable for harsh environments or scenarios with high label preservation requirements, such as labels in cold chain logistics, outdoor equipment identification, long-term archived document labels, etc. Ordinary thermal label paper is more commonly used in some occasions with relatively low storage time and environmental requirements, such as temporary promotion labels in supermarkets and short-term commodity labels.
4. Cost:
Due to the use of higher quality materials and more complex production processes, the cost is usually higher than that of ordinary thermal label paper.
5. Print effect:
The printing clarity and color stability of long-acting heat-resistant label paper are often better, which can provide more accurate and durable printing results. Ordinary thermal label paper may be slightly inferior in this respect.
