The correct installation of the Thermal Transfer Overprint (TTO) high-speed coding carbon belt is an important step to ensure the stability of the printing effect and extend the life of the equipment. Here are the general installation steps, but please note that the exact steps may vary depending on the printer model and brand. Before installing, be sure to refer to the user manual of the printer you are using or contact the manufacturer for accurate instructions.
First, Preparation
1.Check the carbon tape: Confirm that the specifications and models of the carbon tape are compatible with your printer, and check the carbon tape for damage or contamination.
2.Power off: Before installing the carbon strip, always turn off the power to the printer to avoid electric shock or damage to the device.
Second, turn on the printer
Open top cover: Depending on the printer model, locate and open the top or side cover of the printer to reveal the carbon tape mounting area.
Third, install the carbon belt
1.Load the empty coil core: Load the empty coil core used to recover the carbon strip into the carbon strip recovery shaft of the printer to ensure that it is firmly fixed.
2.Install carbon tape roll: Open the new carbon tape roll and load it onto the printer's carbon tape supply shaft. It is usually necessary to roll one end of the carbon strip onto the empty coil core in a small amount, and then clamp the carbon strip roll into the supply end, and ensure that the carbon strip is flat and wrinkle-free.
3.Through the print head: Pull the front end of the carbon strip (the paper lead part) out and around through the print head assembly below, then paste to the installed carbon strip recovery shaft. Take care to ensure that the carbon belt path is correct, without distortion or folding.
Fourth, Adjustment and testing
1.Adjust tension: Depending on the printer model, it may be necessary to adjust the tension of the carbon tape to ensure smooth operation of the carbon tape during printing.
2.Turn the roller: Gently turn the roller of the carbon belt recovery shaft, so that the carbon belt is evenly stretched on the recovery shaft.
3.Close the top cover: Close the top or side cover of the printer and ensure that all components are properly installed and secured.
4.Power on and test: Power on the printer and run a print test to check that the carbon strip has been installed correctly. Observe the printing effect, ensure that the ink is clear, uniform, no broken tape or paper jam phenomenon.
Fifth, Precautions
1.Directivity: When installing the carbon belt, pay attention to the directivity of the carbon belt supply shaft and the recovery shaft. The wrong direction can result in the carbon belt not being recovered or supplied correctly.
2.Cleaning and maintenance: Before installation, it is recommended to clean the print head and carbon strip path to remove dust and impurities. Regular cleaning and maintenance of your printer can extend its service life and improve print quality.
3.Avoid touching the print head: During the installation process, avoid touching the print head directly to avoid damaging its surface or affecting the printing effect.
Please note that the above steps are for reference only and installation procedures may vary depending on the printer model and brand. Therefore, be sure to refer to the user manual of the printer you are using or contact the manufacturer for accurate instructions before installation.
