Barcode printer how to install carbon tape?

The steps for installing carbon strips in barcode printers usually vary according to different brands and models of printers, but the following is a more general installation process for your reference:

First,Preparation

1.Verify that the carbon tape and printer model match: Make sure that the carbon tape you purchase is suitable for your barcode printer model.

2.Prepare tools: In general, no special tools are required to install carbon belts, but some auxiliary materials, such as tape, may be required.

Second, turn on the printer

Open the printer cover: Push the printer cover with both hands and turn it up to make sure there is enough room for subsequent operations.

Third, install the carbon belt supply shaft

1.Insert the carbon strip mandrel: Insert the carbon strip mandrel into the carbon strip paper core, making sure the direction is correct.

2.Mount to supply end: Mount the mandrel with the carbon strip to the printer's carbon strip supply end. This usually requires to gently pull the manual pull sleeve at the carbon belt release shaft outward, and then insert the left side of the carbon belt release shaft core shaft into the hexagonal convex of the release shaft dial wheel, and align the right side with the plug of the manual pull sleeve, release the manual pull sleeve, and complete the installation.

Fourth, install the carbon belt recovery shaft

1.Prepare the empty roll: Remove the other carbon strip mandrel (this is the empty roll) for the carbon strip recovery.

2.Mount to recycling end: Mount the empty paper roll to the carbon strip recycling end of the printer. The installation method is similar to that of the supply shaft, that is, the manual pull sleeve at the carbon belt recovery shaft is gently pulled outward, the left side of the carbon belt recovery shaft is inserted into the hexagonal boss of the recovery shaft dial wheel, the right side is aligned with the plug of the manual pull sleeve, and the manual pull sleeve is released to complete the installation.

Fifth,Guide the carbon belt

1.Remove the carbon strip front end: Remove the carbon strip front end from the installed carbon strip supply shaft.

2.Bypass the print head: Bypass the front end of the carbon strip under the print head assembly to ensure that the carbon strip is flat and wrinkle-free.

3.Paste to recycling shaft: Paste the front end of the carbon tape to the paper shaft of the installed carbon tape recycling shaft and secure it with tape.

Sixth, adjust the carbon belt tension

Rotate the carbon belt recovery shaft: rotate the dial wheel of the carbon belt to wind the carbon belt around the carbon belt recovery shaft, and adjust the carbon belt tension appropriately to ensure that the carbon belt is tight but not tight.

Seventh,Turn off the printer
