Can thermal label paper be reused?

Under normal circumstances, thermal label paper is not recommended to be reused.

The working principle of heat-sensitive label paper is to display information by heating the heat-sensitive material. Once printed, its thermal coating has undergone a chemical reaction, and it may not be able to clearly and accurately display new information when used again, or there may be problems such as uneven color and blurring.

Moreover, even after some processing attempts to remove the previous information, it is difficult to ensure that it is completely removed, and it may cause further damage to the heat-sensitive coating of the label paper, affecting the subsequent use effect.

Of course, in some special cases, if the requirements for information display are not high, and after special treatment, it can be partially reused, but this is not a normal practice, and it cannot guarantee success every time.

Therefore, in general, in order to ensure the accuracy and clarity of information, it is not recommended to reuse thermal label paper.
